Established by Chancellor Kohl and Margaret Thatcher in 1985 the Forum brings together each year a group of up to 50 "high fliers" from Germany and Britain aged 25-35. The first group met in 1986. Since then almost 1000 people have participated in the Forum.

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary plans are being made for a reception for alumni to be held in London in late September 2010. Further information will be circulated shortly.
